90: Bridge

16Feb10

The bridge at Fontana

This is just one of those random scenes you see while walking that’s worth taking a picture of.

I’m glad to say that I didn’t use a tripod for this shot. Meaning, I was able to hold myself still. Enough to capture a sharp image. The lights were nice and there weren’t any people around. Looking at this photo brings a sort of peacefulness.

Huge crowd for the Hot Air Balloon Festival at Clark held last weekend.

Here’s a photo of me! I post pictures of myself on rare occasions. The mirror’s old so.. well you see that there are some brown stuff reflecting. Anyway, this was taken at Fontana. Cause I was a bit bored and I liked what I was wearing. So here’s a photo!

Mind you, I’m like 5 ft, 6 or 7 inches tall. Looking at this photo makes me realize that I am not fat, harhar. But I still have a few flabs to lose. Let’s go exercise! :)

Good morning from the Philippines!

87: HOW

16Feb10

The awesome magician and his assistant at Fontana

Seriously. HOW? Hypnotism?

There was another trick before that that made my jaw drop and say “Holy shit” —  a dog cam from the fire. Wasn’t able to take a photo of that since they moved too fast. But THIS. HOW.

Hot air balloons from the Hot Air Balloon Festival last weekend.

First of many. :)

Just sharing two of the many photos I took during the University of the Philippine’s fair. :)

Marc Abaya for Kjwan

I did this for free. Or I’d like to think of it as an X-deal. I get free access to the concert in exchange for photos taken. Yup. It’s a pretty good deal since I love going to concerts, listening to bands and doing my photography at the same time.

What I would give to actually be invited to shoot photos of Paramore for their concert here in the Philippines on the 9th of March.

85: Fireworks

02Jan10

I’m not good with fireworks. Or at least because this is only the few times I get to try fireworks photography. I know that I’ll be drooling at fireworks photos when I go stumble them. At least I have a few neat shots. It’s a start.

The house right beside us really spend for their fireworks and we were lucky to have that since we didn’t have much of the pretty ones.

The smaller sparks remind me of Howl’s Moving Castle when the stars were dancing and falling to the earth. They can be little faeries too.

Here’s a sort of failed shot. I took this at f-stop 29 and 10seconds shutter speed. Wrooooong calculation. I’m typing it here for reminders when I get a chance to shoot fireworks again.

But despite that, I like how it ended up looking like some vortex from hell (cause it’s red and shining from below).

Oh, cool! There’s a heart! I didn’t notice that until now. Awesome possum.

This one’s one of ours so we were right beneath it. Making the image smokey.

The last two images are my favorite. Their colors got so vibrant and I like their forms.

I wish I had more prettier fireworks photos. I had a hard time setting up the balance between aperture and shutter speed. Meh. I guess I got kinda greedy that I wanted the shutter to be at more than 10seconds. That was a mistake, har. At least I’ve taken note.

Got to look for more events that have fireworks!

New Year’s resolution:

To use empowering words and be encouraging to other people.

To speak better of others.

And to learn patience and be more under control (especially when it comes to my emotions).
